Light veavyweight brawler Joey Beltran was released by the UFC today, a move the fighter announced himself on Twitter:
Thank you to @ufc @danawhite @lorenzofertitta & #JoeSilva for the opportunities you have given me. Time for a new chapter in my fight life.
Beltran made his UFC debut in 2010 and went 5-6 in the promotion with one no contest. However he has most recently lost four of his last five bouts and the cut was expected by most in the media.
