Today in a letter to Mixed Martial Arts LLC, whom acts as the Official Records Keeper for the Association of Boxing Commissions, Margaret Goodman revealed that Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren had enrolled in their Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) program.

The letter stated that Askren would be subject to randomly-selected testing for performance enhancing drugs and methods through January 24, 2013.

Askren is currently scheduled to defend his Bellator title at January 24th event in Oklahoma versus welterweight tournament winner Karl Amoussou. At this time it is unsure whether or not Amousssou has or intends to enroll in the program as well.
