Undefeated middleweight Johnny Eblen has earned his spot as the top contender in Bellator’s 185-pound division.
Following his Bellator 276 win over former to-ranked contender John Salter this past weekend, Eblen (11-0 MMA, 7-0 BMMA) was awarded his status in the Bellator’s latest official rankings.
The result actually saw the two fighters trade places, with Eblen moving up two spots to take the No. 1 position, while Salter (18-6 MMA, 8-3 UFC) slides down two positions and now sits at No. 3.
Additionally, Romero Cotton (6-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA), who was also victorious at Bellator 276, picking up a first-round stoppage of Freddy Sandoval (5-7-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA), was rewarded with a slight bump, moving up one spot to the No. 7 slot.
