Bellator is considering a women’s division
MMAFighting did not cite a source, but claim to have confirmed that the division is being considered and that the promotion has been in talks with Gina Carano.

Yesterday a rumor surfaced that Gina Carano might be closing to signing with Bellator. Although President Scott Coker denied those rumors it is believed they are considering adding a women’s division to Bellator:
According to sources with knowledge of the situation, the new Bellator regime — led by former Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker — is interested in adding at least one women’s division to the promotion, with featherweight (145 pounds) being the leading candidate right now.

With the rising in popularity of women’s MMA, it would make sense for Bellator to get a foot in the door, especially in a division that doesn’t yet exist in the UFC. Scott Coker has a history with Carano and should would certainly lend some serious star power should they decide to add the featherweight division to Bellator.
