Fighters bear significant costs including training expenses, a percentage to management, a percentage to the trainer, plus insurance, licenses, and taxes.

On the income side, fighters receive apparel sponsorships that used to rival purses in some cases; however, the market has changed radically. Although it is not usual, in some cases there is an LOA [Letter of Agreement] on the contract for additional income. And lastly, many fighters earn income from teaching, from appearances, and in many cases from regular employment in the non-fighting space.
