Some states require that fighter purses be made public. Others do not. Brooks, who made the most on the card is not happy that his purse for the fight in known to all.

“I really don’t dig this release of fighters earnings into the public,” he tweeted. “That’s our personal business not the public’s.”

The above figures are the fighter payout information that promoters are required by State law to submit to the state athletic commissions, including the winners’ bonuses.

The figures do not represent a full accounting of each fighter’s income.

Fighters bear significant costs including training expenses, a percentage to management, a percentage to the trainer, plus insurance, licenses, and taxes.

On the income side, sponsorship money can be a significant portion of the purse, although it is smaller than it was in the past, particularly for the mid tier fighters.

Lastly, many fighters earn income from teaching, from appearances, and in many cases from regular employment in the non-fighting space.

In a sobering reminder of how hard fighting is, the list of suspensions was long:

Rafael Carvalho: Suspended 180 days or must be cleared by physician for potential right jaw fracture; seven-day mandatory rest period

Alexander Sarnavskiy: Suspended 180 days or must be cleared by physician for potential right knee fracture, MRI required; seven-day mandatory rest period

Alexander Volkov: Suspended 180 days or must be cleared by physician for potential right hand fracture, x-ray required; seven-day mandatory rest period

Saad Awad: Suspended 180 days or must be cleared by physician for potential right foot fracture; seven-day mandatory rest

Fabricio Guerreiro: Suspended 180 days or must be cleared by physician for potential left hand fracture, x-ray required; seven-day mandatory rest period
