Bas: Anderson Silva changed his story now three times
Bas Rutten: “First, he said he didn’t do it. Second time, he said it was to recover from the injury. Then a different story at his hearing. It was embarrassing.”

UGer Thingading was watching the latest Inside MMA, as it covered the hearing that the Nevada Athletic Commission scheduled for the greatest fighter in the UFC history Anderson Silva. Thingading summed up comments by co-hosts Bas Rutten and Ron Kruck, as well as quotes from a pair of top regulators.
With a fine of $380,000, this is the most expensive infraction in UFC history.

Bas Rutten:
“It’s weird. He’s changed his story now three times. First, he said he didn’t do it. Second time, he said it was to recover from the injury. Then a different story at his hearing. It was embarrassing.”
Ron Kruk:
“There were some really ill conceived explanations on Anderson Silva’s part. He changed his story halfway through the hearing and what’s really bad is he had seven months to prepare for this. His defense pushed back the hearing. They had an “expert witness” who the commission tore up his credentials for 20 minutes. It was really embarrassing for the former champion. I think he would have been better off just not showing up.”
Pat Lundvall, NAC Commissioner:
In addition to the banned substances, she said, “We have an intentional falsification of the pre-fight medical questionnaire that’s been admitted by Mr. Silva.” (This in regards to him saying he had not taken any supplements in the last month and then later admitting himself he was taking at least seven that should have been disclosed.)
Bob Bennett. NSAC Executive Director:
“Several of his explanations were not to my satisfaction. He’s quite lucky that we that haven’t moved into the new fines and penalties or they would considerably hinder his future profession.”
Good grief, Andy. After all this time, that’s what you and your team came up with? Utter nonsense, resulting in total embarrassment???
