LAS VEGAS – Tuff-N-Uff officials are excited to announce the promotion’s latest event on the legendary Las Vegas Strip, with “Tuff-N-Uff 133: Newman vs. Edwards” set for Friday, September 15.

One night before the Ultimate Fighting Championship debuts the promotion’s first “Noche UFC” event at the nearby T-Mobile Arena, Sahara Las Vegas plays host to another exciting night featuring “The Future Stars of Mixed Martial Arts” with Tuff-N-Uff 133. The night’s main card streams live on UFC Fight Pass from the Sahara Theatre.

In the Tuff-N-Uff 133 headliner, “The Ultimate Fighter 29” cast member Ryder “Rhino” Newman (6-1) returns to the Tuff-N-Uff cage to face Bellator MMA veteran Rocky “The Number” Edwards (12-10-1) in a key welterweight showdown.

Meanwhile, the Tuff-N-Uff 133 co-main event sees Xtreme Couture product Pololu “Poi Poundah” Nakanelua (6-1) take on one time Bellator fighter Victor Rosas (6-2) in a catchweight clash at 130 pounds.

“It’s an absolute honor to once again return to the beautiful Sahara Las Vegas for our third consecutive event,” Tuff-N-Uff CEO Jeff Meyer said. “The iconic Sahara Theatre is the perfect venue to enjoy our incredible brand of top-level mixed martial arts, and to once again be part of a weekend that is built around an incredible UFC event, as well, shows why Las Vegas remains the Fight Capital of the World.”

Featured matchups include talent ready to take a step forward to the sport’s highest level, and the lineup also includes a number of additional exciting athletes such as Eduardo Penha, Mauricio Rios and Shane Shapiro. Additionally, a full lineup of preliminary matchups will air live on the beIN SPORTS Network.

The 28-year-old Newman is an Xtreme Couture product and former Tuff-N-Uff amateur welterweight champion. He’s currently riding a three-fight winning streak that includes a November victory under the Tuff-N-Uff banner, as well as a March 2022 win for Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s Eagle FC.

Meanwhile, 23-fight veteran Edwards returns to the cage following more than three years away from competition and competes in the welterweight division for the first time since 2018. Edwards’ most recent appearance was in a light heavyweight matchup with William Knight, who would then go on to compete for the UFC seven times. Edwards has also competed against other big-show veterans such as Sean Brady, Randy Brown, Julian Lane, Mark Lemminger, Bobby Nash and Devin Smyth, among others.
