Last night the UFC announced the main event for it’s September 3rd show in Hamburg, Germany, a heavyweight bout between two legendary fights, Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett.

Arlovski is coming a title eliminator loss to Alistair Overeem and Barnett a loss to Ben Rothwell. This is another important fight in the heavyweight division with the winner staying relevant in the title picture and the loser dropping down the ranks.

Josh Barnett has been a top heavyweight in MMA for almost twenty years and actually had his first UFC fight all the way back in 2000. He spent a lot of time out of the organization, but returned in 2013 after Zuffa purchased Strikeforce.

Arlovski is also a long time veteran of the UFC, having also made his UFC debut back in 2000. Like Barnett, Arlovski also spent some time away from the promotion during his career, but returned in 2014 and is 4-2 in his most recent run inside the Octagon.
