Josh Barnett vs Mighty Mo

Barnett chose to stand early in the bout and paid for it almost immediately, when he was dropped by a left hook. He sprang up and charged into a tie-up, but when the action stalled against the ropes, the two were separated and back in the center of the ring.

Barnett was attempting a savate kick (while wearing wrestling shoes) that landed below the belt as Siliga was throwing a kick of his own. The result saw Siliga stop, drop, shut ’em down, and close up shop, groaning loudly on the canvas.

Siligia lay on the canvas for some time as DREAM officials gathered around him. The former kickboxer could be heard moaning in pain, and later, on his stool, arguing with those who asked him to continue the fight. “That’s the hardest I’ve ever been kicked in the balls in my entire life,” Siligia said.

It looked like the fight would be called off.

After the fight had been delayed by 13 minutes, Barnett walked across the ring and approached one of the officials. “He can hit me in the balls back right now,” Barnett offered, “It’s OK.”

After a further spell on his ring chair, “Mighty Mo” made his way back to his feet and resumed the bout. It was clear, though, that his heart was no longer in the fight.

It didn’t take long for Barnett to take Mo down, apply a Catch Wrestling double wrist lock, and force Mo to tap out.

After the fight ended, Barnett allowed Siliga to hit him with a return kick below the belt.

“It was only fair,” Barnett said.
