ROTTERDAM – GLORY, the global leader in standup combat, announced today that “GLORY: Collision 4” will be headlined by the trilogy bout between kickboxing legend Badr Hari and MMA icon Alistair Overeem at the GelreDome in Arnhem, The Netherlands on Oct. 8.
“GLORY: Collision 4” features a trilogy over a decade in the making between Hari and Overeem. The two heavyweight fighters met in 2008 and 2009, where they each split first-round knockouts over the other. Since Overeem signed with GLORY last year, fans have clamored to see the conclusion of their rivalry.
“We are proud to deliver this exceptional fight on the biggest stage in the sport,” GLORY executive vice-chairman Scott Rudmann said. “Both Overeem and Hari have their legacies on the line in this trilogy fight, and it promises to be a historic night.”
This epic bout will mark the final round between two of the biggest names in combat sports and the fourth edition in the history of “GLORY: Collision 4,” a series of monumental heavyweight fights.
The No. 1-ranked heavyweight Antonio Plazibat and No. 4-ranked heavyweight Levi Rigters will also be in action at “GLORY: Collision 4.”
