Askren alleges Tito vs. Shlemenko is a work
Former Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren alleges that the fight between Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko and Tito Ortiz will be a work.

Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko recently called out former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz. Ortiz accepted, and the bout was added to Bellator’s PPV debut on May 17 event in Memphis, Tenn.
A previous PPV debut was cancelled when Ortiz broke his neck while training for a main event fight with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
Olympic wrestler Ben Askren was the Bellator welterweight champion, but the company passed on renewing his contracting, citing among other things a style of fighting that was not fan friendly. Now Askren alleges that the fight will be a work

Tito/Shlemenko makes no sense. Shlemenko is a blown up WW. Tito is 230+. Tito beats him, you just BURIED champion. Awful idea
Ben Askren @Benaskren
@FrontRowBrian it’s a work!!! Tito has ties To Schlemenko. Taking the L for a good cause.
Ben Askren @Benaskren
I think Tito vs Schlemenko is a work. What do you think
Bellator Fan @Bellator_Fan
You just regret bailing out on a Bellator.

I think somebody will be injured again before May 17th even gets here. Shakey voice sounded scared.
