Aoki in mother of all freakshows NYE?
Shinya Aokis is supposedly fighting 300+ pound Montanha Silva on New Years Eve, two days after fighting Kazushi Sakuraba in RIZIN, and for a rival organization.

RIZIN will hold a show on Dec 29 and show on Dec 31, in the same arena. The New Years eve event is headlined by Fedor Emelianenko. The show two days prior is headlined by the incredible ONE Championship lightweight titleholder Shinya Aoki.
Now Antonio Inoki has announced that his IGF will be going head to head with RIZIN on New Years Eve, in an event that is themed “Knockout the Rizin.” And it will be headlined by Shinya Aoki.
And Aoki’s opponent will be former K-1 kickboxer and pro wrestler from Brazil, Montanha Silva. This Silva is no relation to the Paulo Cesar “Giant” Silva that went 2-6, mostly in Pride about a decade ago. That Silva was 7′ 2″ 385 lbs. Montanha Silva is being billed as even larger than ‘Giant’ Silva, although he isn’t quite.
He is however more than twice as large as Aoki.
The bout is being presented thus far as an actual MMA fight, rather than a pro wrestling exhibition bout. This means it could be an actual MMA fight, or it could be pro wrestling. Aoki has done both.
So Shinya Aoki is supposedly headlining a RIZIN card on the 29th, and then two days later having another fight with a giant Silva not just a division above him, but twice his bodyweight. And it’s for an event that is supposed to be going head to head with RIZIN.
In other words, at least for three days, all is back to normal with JMMA.
