Top UFC light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson is playing tug of war over his next fight. He was scheduled for a rematch with UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, but he hurt his knee, and was replaced by Daniel Cormier, who himself took the fight forgoing needed knee surgery.

Then Jones hurt his knee, and the fight was delayed. Gustafsson wanted the fight returned to him, but the Cormier fight stayed as planned, and hyped.

Gustafsson wants to wait out the Cormier vs. Jones fight, and fight the winner, who he believes will be Jones.

However, UFC president Dana White says he wants fighters to stay active, noting that a fight with AJ would be a great one. It would.

Now Johnson has called out Gustafsson, via Facebook.

@AlexTheMauler I respect you as a fighter but this is business. @danawhite said our fight makes sense. There’s nobody left for us to fight plus the fans are begging for us to fight so let’s give the fans what they wanna see!
