Anjos reportedly fined ‘significant amount’ for Reebok violation
The UFC revealed recently that three fighters at UFC on FOX 17 received reductions on their Reebok payments for violating the new UFC Reebok Outfitting Policy.

The UFC revealed recently that three fighters at UFC on FOX 17 on December 19, 2015, received reductions on their Reebok payments for knowingly and seriously violating the policy. The new UFC Reebok Outfitting Policy requires that fighters appear exclusively in Reebok apparel in the Octagon and during fight week. Of particular concern is displaying another brand at weigh-ins, press conferences, open workouts, or in the fight.
This was the first time the step had been taken.
The first fighter to self identify was Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone. He said the fine was well in excess of $5,000, of the $30,000 a title challenger receives.
Second was Nate Diaz.
Now sources have told Marc Raimondi for MMAFighting.com that UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, was fined a “significant” amount for violating the policy at UFC on FOX 17 weigh-ins on Dec. 18.
Dos Anjos wore an Evolve MMA tee shirt briefly prior to the weigh ins. The champion has been a part of the team staff since 2009. Founded by Chatri Sityodtong, and headquartered in Singapore, Evolve Mixed Martial Arts is Asia’s premier championship brand for martial arts.?
Twelve others have been warned since the uniform deal with Reebok went into place in July, Bleczinski said. Dos Anjos beat Cerrone via TKO in the first round, to retain his lightweight title.
