Angela Lee looking to stop Yamaguchi in rematch
Women’s atomweight champion Angela Lee will be defending her title in a rematch with Mei Yamaguchi in Singapore on November 24.
ONE Championship founder Chatri Sityodtong announced via his social network that women’s atomweight champion Angela Lee will be defending her title in a rematch with Mei Yamaguchi in Singapore on November 24.
Lee, 21, is a fighter the entire world can cheer for, with mixed Korean and Singaporean descent, born in Canada, and raised in Hawai’i. Her Singaporean father and South Korean mother are both martial artists, as are her siblings Christian, Victoria, and Adrian. Christian ‘The Warrior’ Lee is also a professional MMA fighter, with a 7-1 record.
Angela became the youngest MMA champion in the world last year when she won the inaugural belt ONE Championship atomweight belt in a unanimous decision over Yamaguchi. ‘Unstoppable’ has defended her title twice since, driving her record to 8-0, most recently with an Anaconda choke vs. Istela Nunes in May.
Lee vowed to win again, faster.

Yamaguchi has a 15-10 record, and is coming off a decision loss to Istela Nunes at ONE 44 on August 13, 2016.
