Former Bellator welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov is expected to meet Sabah Homasi at Bellator 264 on August 13.

Andrey Koreshkov’s Bellator return likely at Bellator 264

That’s according to MMAJunkie, which reported the fight is in the works for the promotion’s next event at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. It would be his first bout under the Bellator banner since October 2019.

Koreshkov (23-4 MMA, 13-4 BMMA) was permitted to compete outside of Bellator one time in Russia because of COVID-19 travel restrictions. He beat Adriano Rodrigues de Oliveira by a first-round armbar.

Homasi (15-9 MMA, 4-3 BMMA) fought three times in Koreshkov’s absence. He posted wins over Curtis Millender and Bobby Voelker, but came up short in a matchup against MMA veteran Paul Daley.

The Bellator 264 card also includes champion Gegard Mousasi versus John Salter for the middleweight title, as well as Everett Cummings against Davion Franklin.
