Anderson Silva: I never took PEDs
Anderson Silva: “I don’t want to get too much into that. But at the end of the day, I want everyone to know that I am not a liar.”

The greatest fighter in UFC history failed a PED test for his fight with Nick Diaz at UFC 183. During a hearing before the Nevada Athletic Commission, Anderson Silva attributed the failure to a sexual performance supplement taken in Thailand.
During a media event ahead of his fight with Michael Bisping in the main event of UFC Fight Night 84 on Feb. 27 in London, Engalnd on UFC Fight Pass, Silva addressed his uncompelling explanation to the NAC.
“Unfortunately, it didn’t come off that way, but I always told the truth,” said Silva to Dave Doyle for MMAFighting.com. “I never used any sort of PED of any sort and I’m excited to get back in there a fight, and who knows, perhaps fight for a title.”
“I don’t want to get too much into that. But at the end of the day, I want everyone to know that I am not a liar.”
Bisping has blasted Silva repeatedly for use of PEDs, asking for example if he can get an erection.
“All you life,” began Bisping. “All your life in steroids… Hey, does it work? Can you get an erection?”
The Spider shrugged off The Count’s claims.
“C’mon people, I’ve been in this sport a long time and people have said a lot of things,” said Silva. “But once the Octagon door closes, that always changes.”
