Just a day after Joe Lauzon was out of UFC 180 with an injury, his opponent Diego Sanchez is out with a knee injury. Lauzon had replaced an injured Norman Parke.

The Spanish language fight site Indiscutido broke the story – just a day after Joe Lauzon was out of UFC 180 with an injury, his opponent Diego Sanchez is out with an LCL injury. Lauzon in turn had replaced an injured Norman Parke.

The main card of the event also suffered a dramatic change when UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez likewise was forced out by injury. Challenger Fabricio Werdum now fights Mark Hunt for the interim title.
