The only fighter who didn’t make weight on Friday was American Top Team welterweight Thiago Alves, who has struggled making the 170lb limit before, even with the one pound allowance since the fight was a non-title affair. Alves came in at 171 and ½ pounds, and will have time to cut the additional weight for the commission.
UPDATE:
According to the UFC, Alves was still unable to cut the additional 1/2 pound and will forfeit 20% of his purse for failure to make weight.
All other fighters made weight without any issue.
