Alvarez: [Loss to Cerrone] pissed me off a lot
Eddie Alvarez: “For me, it’s always good to lose every once in a while. I don’t really care about winning, as long as I don’t lose.”

After much back and forth between Bellator and the UFC, Eddie Alvarez finally made his UFC debut against Donald Cerrone at UFC 168. Although Alvarez came up short in the fight, losing a decision, he recently told the MMA Hour that the loss has only fueled him and that it may even had been a good thing:
It was bad (dealing with loss). I’ve been fighting for a long time and I thought I knew how to deal with losing a lot better than how I dealt with it. For me, it’s always good to lose every once in a while. I don’t really care about winning, as long as I don’t lose. It’s good to get that feeling again, to get that fire, to get excited again to get back in there again and compete. It pissed me off a lot. So, I am going to have a lot going into this next one, a lot of motivation, a lot of fire for my next training camp.”
