Alexander Gustaffson’s mom almost punched Jon Jones in hospital
Alexander Gustafsson’s mom: “The first thing I saw (when I got to the hospital) was Jones – completely scarred and bruised, with his foot in bandage. I was so pissed off.”
As anyone who has watched the documentary Vikings can attest, Viking women can be ferocious too. In this clip from the documentary “Alexander – The Great” UFC light heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson’s mom discussed the time after the UFC 165 Gus vs. Jones fight when she saw “Bones” laying on a gurney.
Her heart was flooded with feelings of compassion for the brave warrior who stood toe to toe with her son for so many rounds.

“The first thing I saw (when I got to the hospital) was Jones – completely scarred and bruised, with his foot in bandage,” said Gus’s mom, now smiling. “I was so pissed off. It was like I could’ve just gone over there and knocked him cold. But the others held me back and told me to calm down.”
Then she looked a little sad.
