Alex Oliveira in vs. Carlos Condit at UFC on FOX 29
Brazil’s Combate broke the news that ‘The Natural Born Killer’ will be now be fighting Alex ‘Cowboy’ Oliveira; that’s an awesome fight.

On Monday it was announced that Matt Brown injured his knee and was out of an awesome fight vs. Carlos Condit in the co-main event of UFC on FOX 29. Today, Brazil’s Combate broke the news that ‘The Natural Born Killer’ will be now be fighting Alex ‘Cowboy’ Oliveira; that’s an awesome fight too.
Oliveira had been on a four-fight win streak (with one NC after he was struck with an accidental knee) leading into his fight vs. Yancy Medeiros at UFC 218 on December 2, 2017. Although ‘Cowboy’ lost, it won the Fight of the Night, and in the minds of some, the fight of the year.
While Oliveira has gone 4-0 with 1 NC in his last five, Condit has gone 1-4. However, it was at the highest levels of the sport, including a Fight of the Night-winning Split Decision loss to then-champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 195 on January 2, 2016.
UFC on FOX 29 will be held on April 14, 2018, at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
