Aldo vows to smash McGregor
Jose Aldo: “We will run through him no matter when the fight happens, but his time will come…When it does, you can be sure we will smash him.”

Although Jose Aldo had to pull out of UFC 189, he plans on returning to training shortly for an eventual showdown with now interim champion Conor McGregor:
A day after “The Notorious’” knockout victory over Chad Mendes at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Aldo spoke with radio show Rock Bola following a soccer match in Rio de Janeiro, and discussed his upcoming bout with the Irish featherweight.
“We will run through him no matter when the fight happens, but his time will come,” Aldo said. “When it does, you can be sure we will smash him.”
Aldo fractured his rib two weeks before the fight, and has yet to return to training at Nova Uniao gym.
“I’m still recovering, should be back to training in two weeks,” he said. “I’ll do more exams. As soon as the doctor clears me, I’ll be back to training.”
