Akira Corassani charges Fear the Fighter hasn’t paid
Akira Corassani took to Twitter today and alleged that his sponsor owed him for two events. The sponsor replied that management did not send invoices in a timely fashion.

Fighters not getting paid by sponsors used to be a near constant background noise at the top levels of mixed martial arts. The sponsor fees paid to the UFC were supposed to remedy that, and in point of fact the number of cases has dropped dramatically. Further, when it does happen, the companies are gone from the top of the sport, and do not engage in serial stiffing.
Unfortunately, cases of UFC fighters claiming publicly that a sponsor has not paid them have not disappeared entirely, as evidence by Akira Corassani on Twitter today.

@Fearthefighter You have 48 hours to pay me my money for my last two fights or I’m going to the @ufc @danawhite
FEAR THE FIGHTER @Fearthefighter
@NeimanGracie@AkiraCorassani@ufc @danawhite we would if his manger would send us invoices on time.

don’t put this on my management ! Invoice was sent sept 10. U claim the check was lost in the warehouse!
Hopefully this is a simple misunderstanding, and the Swedish Iranian featherweight gets paid promptly.
