AJ willing to wait a year for Jones
Anthony Johnson on waiting for fight with Jon Jones: “Unless it’s for a title, I don’t want to be like Vitor and wait a year. But if I have to, I will.”

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is scheduled to fight Anthony Johnson on May 23 at UFC 187, but the bout is in jeopardy, due to Jones arrest on Monday. However ‘Rumble’ appeared on UFC Tonight, and said he is focused on fighting Jones, now or a year from now.
“Nothing’s changed,” said Johnson as transcribed by Shaun Al-Shatti for MMAFighting.com. “I’m still training hard, staying focused, staying on the grind. Like I said, whoever they give me, whatever they throw my way, I’ll be ready no matter what.”
“I only want to fight for the title. I feel like I’ve worked my way up to being the No. 1 contender, and I plan on staying that way. Unless it’s for a title, I don’t want to be like Vitor and wait a year. But if I have to, I will.”
There is now little but questions. Will Jones still fight. If he doesn’t, will Johnson get someone else? If he does, who? And will it be for an interim title?
