Today the Nevada State Athletic Commission held a hearing to discuss Chael Sonnen’s two failed drug tests and rule on his future. Sonnen and his legal team offered no defense and was ready to adhere to any punishment the NSAC deemed appropriate.

After much discussion of the situation, the NSAC rule and Chael Sonnen agreed to:

-Sonnen will be suspended two years and is unable to compete anywhere during that time

-Sonnen would reimburse the commission for the cost of drug testing

-Sonnen would receive no monetary penalty

-Sonnen agrees to work with/for the NSAC in drug testing education
