Today Bellator MMA fighter Jordan Parson tragically passed the past few days fighting injuries sustained in a hit and run car accident on Sunday. Our hearts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.

The police are currently investigating the incident and family and friends have reached out on social media in hopes of finding someone who may have witnessed the incident or have information that could help the police.

Bellator MMA President Scott Coker today released a statement:

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a dear member of the Bellator family, Jordan Parsons,” Bellator President Scott Coker said in a statement. “Jordan was an exceptional athlete and a rising star in the sport. But more importantly, he was an exceptional young man. Jordan was hard-working, dedicated, intelligent, and a pleasure to be around. He represented all the reasons we love this sport. It is a terribly tragic loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and teammates.”

Parsons was a promising featherweight fighter and held an 11-2 record in his professional career. He made his Bellator MMA debut in 2014 and was 2-1 in the organization. His only loss in the organization was a split decision loss in his most recent fight.
