The UFC handed out post-fight monetary bonuses of $70,000 to four out of the 22 fighters at UFC 128.

The bad news is there was no “Submission of the Night” bonus because none of the fights on the card ended by way of the famous tap out. The good news is that meant an extra “Knockout of the Night” was awarded.

Erik Koch earned his bonus by knocking out Raphael Assuncao in the first . Brendan Schaub earned his when he brought an abrupt end to his three-round battle against Mirko Filipovic with an overhand right that sent “Cro Cop” flailing to the mat, and according to Dana White at the post fight press conference, out of the UFC.

Finally, Edson Barboza and Anthony Njokuani were awarded “Fight of the Night” for their thrilling back-and-forth war of attrition that saw “Junior” extended his unbeaten streak to eight over “The African Assassin.”
