Fights in MMA are generally won by decision, tapout, ref stoppage due to strikes, DQ, or decision. If you train in BJJ, Judo, or Sambo, it may well be that submissions are generally the most exciting way to end a fight. Mike Bohn put together a list for MMAjunkie of the Top Five Submissions of 2015.

4. Joao Zeferino def. Brian Foster/Jorge Patino at WSOF 25
3. Demetrious Johnson def. Kyoji Horiguchi at UFC 186

1. Ronda Rousey def. Cat Zingano at UFC 184
Cat Zingano was thought to be Ronda Rousey’s most significant challenge to date. Rousey dispelled that notion, however, and she needed just 14 seconds to win by armbar for the fastest submission in a UFC title fight and the fastest submission overall in modern UFC history.
Zingano unwittingly charged Rousey at the opening bell and simply sped up the inevitable. The champ used Zingano’s momentum against her and flipped on her head in a unique scramble. Rowdy then caught the armbar at an awkward angle and ended the fight before anyone could figure out what had happened.
