10% off any UFC.tv PPV stream to compensate Invicta error

Invicta FC 8 was a terrific night of fights, rivaling the last UFC for popularity on the UG, as seen in responses and views. However, in the final fight, Michelle Waterson was defending her title against a game Yasuko Tamada, when, just minutes before the finish, the stream went dead for many subscribers.
It was particularly disappointing as Invicta had experienced stream glitches before, but those were expected to end when the partnership with UFC Fight Pass began.
At the post fight press conference, UFC Director of Media Ant Evans discussed the failure, and stressed that responsibility did not lie with Invicta.
“Fight Pass did experience a slight drop in the stream during the course Michelle’s main event for several minutes,” said Evans. “I’d like to be very clear this is a Fight Pass issue and we have never have experienced it before. It was definitely not an Invicta issue. We’d liked to apologize to Shannon for that.
“We’re going to do a make up for this for all of our great subscribers.”
Invicta FC president Shannon Knapp stayed positive, and commented on the relationship with the UFC
“I think they’re very happy with us just like we are very happy with them,” said Knapp. “I think the support they give us definitely shows you how happy they are with us. It was a great event. It’s very positive feedback and… there’s big things happening and more to come.”
Now the UFC has announced the specifics of the make up, in email to UFC FIght Stream subscribers.
“During the main event of Invicta FC 8 there was a disruption in the live stream. We noticed that you watched a portion of the live event and we sincerely apologize for this experience. We would like to extend you a 10% discount on one live pay-per-view that occurs before the end of 2014.
