Whether you’re looking to become the next Donald Cerrone or just train martial arts for fun and self-defense purposes, the more efficient and powerful you can be in your movements most likely the better. But this is certainly so when speaking about the roundhouse kick.

It can be thrown to the legs, body, head, or even the groin if you’re in a street altercation. It is one of the most universally used tools throughout martial arts which truly highlights how effective they can truly be when used correctly.

If you’d like to watch round kicks used at their highest level of proficiency, you can watch Muay Thai legend Buakaw on YouTube chopping down both his opponents and even a tree in one video as he makes use of them.

You think want to know what it feels like to absorb one? Trust me on this one, you don’t. Just imagine being struck by a baseball bat. Even if you are able to block it with your arms it still hurts and causes damage.

What do you think about the tip shown in the video below? Is it something you’ve ever used? If not, do you plan on giving it a try now? Let us know in the comments below!

About Muay Thai:
Muay Thai is a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This physical and mental discipline which includes combat on shins is known as “the art of eight limbs” because it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins, being associated with a good physical preparation that makes a full-contact fighter very efficient. Muay Thai became widespread internationally in the twentieth century, when practitioners defeated notable practitioners of other martial arts. [Source: Wikipedia]
