In one of his latest videos, Master Wong shows how to defend against a common thai clinch in a street altercation. Although a technique developed in muay thai, grabbing both hands around someone’s head is not an uncommon position in a street fight situation.
In the situation and attack pushes at you then grabs both hands around your head and starts to knee you in the chest. The first defense he shows is to counter each knee with an elbow strike. This actually is a viable technique and will make your opponent think twice about throwing a hard knee strike.
The next part of the technique involves driving both arms through the middle of your opponents two arms and breaking the hold. At this point you can take the opportunity to strike back or escape the situation.
