The man in black/yellow shorts challenged the guy in red to a fight, at the subway station.
Fighting on the street is very dangerous and it can often end with both combatants being cited for criminal behavior.
So the man in red challenged skins to a fight at Beijng’s Battle Club Muay Thai. It is of course a safer combat arena, but maybe not so safe if your the guy on the wrong end of the fight.
You tell early on the man without a shirt is not an experienced fighter as he seems a little baffled about just putting on his gloves. Showing sportsmanship, the two touch gloves to begin the fight. The trained muay thai fighter starts by throwing two big hooks, one from each side, which don’t connect. But he does connect with a solid low roundhouse kick and then can’t miss. He lands a huge left hook followed by a huge right cross. Another set of the same punches and his opponent starts to slump in the corner, but he keeps landing shots to the head and body.
At this point, the trained fighter gets aggressive and probably punches the other guy more than he should. We however don’t know the back story and his opponent likely could have deserved the punishment. And they were wearing sixteen ounce gloves. For good measure he lands a solid kick to the sternum before mercifully ending the fight. He does however continue to taunt his opponent.
ABOUT MUAY THAI
Muay Thai is referred to as The Art of Eight Limbs; and using eight points of contact the body mimics weapons of war. The hands become the sword and dagger; the shins and forearms were hardened in training to act as armor against blows, and the elbow to fell opponents like a heavy mace or hammer; the legs and knees became the axe and staff. The body operated as one unit. The knees and elbows constantly searching and testing for an opening while grappling and trying to spin an enemy to the ground for the kill.
