Conor McGregor is one of the greatest talkers, not only in combat sports but in general, ever. From instigating a fight to promoting a fight, to even antics during a fight, Conor McGregor takes the title of greatest talker ever.
Muhammad Ali was great, often times called the greatest and even the greatest of all time, however; what is generally left out of that statement are three words: of his sport.
Muhammad Ali, rest his soul, was the greatest trash talker of all time…in boxing. When making broad claims and bold statements one has to take into consideration the pool in which they are drawing from. Muhammad Ali had a very shallow pool of competition. He was good, but he was not great.
Compare Ali to some of the greatest talkers ever such as The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, or Chael Sonnen and what you’ll see is that Ali really can’t even be in the same room as those guys…now look at Conor McGregor…

Conor McGregor is something special. We all know this. One of the things that differentiate Conor from other greats is that he is the total package. He can fight, he can talk trash, he works hard, he can be humble, and he says the right things at the right times.
He is also a good, hard working man. He hasn’t been in trouble like Jon Jones or even Anderson Silva, he has a rags-to-riches story, and he even took time away from his job to support his long-time partner as she was carrying their child…not many more honorable things one can do.
So with all this grace and honor and greatness, what is it that Conor is saying DURING his fights? Well, check out the video below to find out.
