You think you may have seen everything that could happen in an MMA cage. Every kind of knockout, every kind of submission, a fighter vomiting, a fighter soiling themselves, a double knockout, but this is probably something you’ve never seen and may never see again.

Back in 2006 at CWFC Strike Force 6, Alexandre Izidro battled Mario Staple for the promotions lightweight title. Izidro would win the fight by majority decision and although it was a good fight, it wasn’t particularly memorable except for one interesting moment in the middle of the fight.

That’s right. A naked man jumped over the fence and into the cage in the middle of the fight. The two fighters were stopped by the referee, the man was escorted out and the fight continued without further incident.

It is not a completely uncommon occurrence in professional sports, especially in soccer, but incidents have taken place in baseball, football, and other events. However, we believe this is the only time it has happened in mixed martial arts.
