7) Harold Howard’s mullet

A participant of the early UFC tournaments, Harold Howard is the stuff of legend. Holding black belts in Goju-Ryu Karate, Shito-Ryu Karate and Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, the Canadian native also holds a black belt in having an amazing mullet which came with a legendary catchphrase. Unfortunately for him the mullet would also be used against him in his loss against Mark Hall who held onto it while striking Harold’s face.

6) Seth Petruzelli’s pink hair

When Ken Shamrock bowed out of his bout with Kimbo Slice last minute on CBS, then undercard fighter Seth Petruzelli was promoted to the main event last minute to take on the internet street fighting legend. But no one expected this pink haired Karate stylist to be the ultimate undoing of the EliteXC promotion as he dropped Kimbo with a one legged jab and followed up with strikes for the TKO victory.

To the casual audience they saw the internet’s toughest brawler get soundly defeated by a dude pink hair.

5) Clay Guida’s long crazy hair

Clay Guida is known for two things, his relentless and aggressive pace he employs in his fights and his wild flowing long hair, which often gets in the faces of his opponents when he is in top position administering ground and pound. In his bout with Gray Maynard he was forced to tie his hair back due to a complaint from their camp to the New Jersey Athletic Commission which resulted in an atrocious and boring split decision loss for ‘The Carpenter’.

4) Heath Herring’s colorful hair

Having debuted all the way back in 1997, Heath Herring has gone through as many opponents as he has hairstyles through his long and storied career, which came in the form of different colored buzz cuts and Mohawks. These days he seems to have settled for long brown hair as he currently makes his living as a professional poker player.

3) Chuck Liddell’s trademark Mohawk

In his heyday Chuck Liddell was best known for three things; his blue ice shorts, his ferocious knockout power of course his trademark Mohawk. Along with Tito Ortiz and Randy Couture, ‘The IceMan’ was one of the first superstars to resonate with the mainstream audience and had an instantly recognizable look. Along with his Mohawk he also has the Japanese words ‘KOEI KAN’ tattooed on his head which translate to ‘Respect and Prosperity’ and was the name of the style of karate he first trained in.

2) Vitor Belfort’s hair evolution

For as many career resurgences Vitor Belfort has had he has had just as many if not more hairstyles to follow suit. From the humble crewcut to cornrows to a mop top to his current Jesus Mohawk Raptor styled cut, Vitor Belfort’s ever evolving hairstyles have become just as much a talking point as his fighting ability inside the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

1) Brian Ebersole’s Hairow

When Carlos Condit pulled out of his bout against Chris Lytle at UFC 127 the UFC had to quickly scramble for a replacement, which resulted in the signing of long time veteran Brian Ebersole to step in and for anyone not familiar with him they were in for a treat. Sporting a giant arrow shaved into his chest that became known as the ‘Hairow’, Ebersole also wowed the crowd landing his trademark cartwheel kick on Lytle which netted him a unanimous decision win and a Fight of the Night bonus.

In a subsequent bout he also shaved the ‘Tapout’ logo into his chest alongside a smaller hairow.
