When the fight was originally scheduled, many argued that the men were too old to still compete within the sport. When the two finally stepped into the cage, it was nothing but lackluster.

The only time you’d expect to see a kiss during an MMA event is when the ring girl is about to take her seat. Heath Herring certainly wasn’t expecting it back when Yoshihiro Nakao placed a small one on his lips as the referee delivered them their final instructions.

After just a slight hesitation, Heath slapped Nakao completely unconscious before returning to his corner and yelling about the illegal act his opponent had done. Tell us what you think, what was the worse foul, Nakao’s kiss or Herring’s slap?

3) Kevin Burns vs. Anthony Johnson

-UFC: Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale, July 19th, 2008

Anthony Johnson is now one of the top light-heavyweights in the world, but there was a time that he fought all the way down at welterweight. His opponent, Kevin Burns, repeatedly poked him in the eye throughout the fight without the referee doing anything to stop it. The fight was even finished by an eye poke so devastating that it sends Anthony Johnson diving to the mat. The referee called it a win for Burns by way of TKO.

2) Mirko Filipović vs. Alistair Overeem

-Dream 6, September 23rd, 2008

While Mirko attempted to recover, Bas Rutten while commentating was told by one of Mirko’s corner men that one of his testicles had retracted into his body. When Mirko was unable to continue the fight was declared a no contest.

1) Eric Prindle vs. Thiago Santos

-Bellator 75, October 5th, 2012

The first time these two men fought the fight was brought to a premature end by an unintentional groin strike. What are the odds that the same thing would happen again when they had a rematch a year later? As Prindle stands above Santos, the referee warns him to avoid the groin strike.

Right after Prindle comically, but accidentally lifts his leg up into the air attempting to axe kick down onto the body of Santos, but the kick instead lands directly on the ground. Since the referee had given just a recent warning before the strike was thrown, Santos was awarded the win by disqualification.
