Nick and Nate Diaz have had their share of adventures in their short, 30-odd years of life, but make no mistake: they’ve played it all by their own rules. Whether it’s being sponsored by the famous cannabis company FlavRx, training for triathlons or picking fights with the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Connor McGregor, these brothers are going to tell you exactly what they think.

The interview below was conducted by DOPE Magazine which is a lifestyle publication dedicated to bringing an intelligent and creative approach to the many facets of the cannabis movement. From breaking news to celebrity features, and strain reviews to daily blogs, their coverage is aimed to live up to their mission: Defending Our Plant Everywhere.

With the legalization of cannabis on the state level, there has been a lot of discussion on the topic of marijuana use and athletics, particularly endurance sports as well as martial arts. Although there is a lot of confusion, misinformation, and simple lack of knowledge by the majority of the population as to the benefits, or lack thereof, of cannabis use, one thing is for certain: the Diaz brothers have been on board with the use of cannabis for improvement of quality of life since before day 1.

A genre of athletes including some practitioners of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, triathletes, and endurance athletes have been using cannabis-derived products for decades as a holistic solution to issues ranging from recovery to performing their best to even psychiatric conditions such as anxiety and depression as an alternative to pharmaceutically derived and engineered medicines.

In a nutshell, there is a genre of very high-level athletes and professionals, as well as ‘regular folks’, who have foregone modern medicine and opted for a more natural remedy in their pursuit to improve the quality of life. Right or wrong, Nick and Nate Diaz are two of those people and open up on the subject in the video below.

So check it out and decide for yourself whether or not you agree with them.
