After being dropped from UFC following his loss to then up and comer Junior Dos Santos in 2008, Fabricio Werdum went on an absolute tear. To start things off he recorded one of the biggest upsets in mixed martial arts history when he took only sixty nine seconds to submit the legendary Fedor Emelianenko in Strikeforce back in 2010.

Topping that victory would be difficult but he managed to do so with a 6-0 return to the UFC which was topped off with a submission victory over Cain Velasquez to capture the Heavyweight belt in 2015.

In this edition of signature moves, Fabricio Werdum goes through the techniques he has utilised that have lead him to stunning upsets and championship belts.

Best known for his world class Brazilian JiuJitsu pedigree, Werdum under the tutelage of Master Rafael Cordeiro has developed a devastating and well-rounded stand up game. Demonstrating the intricacies of his Muay Thai clinch, front fick, standing head kick and spinning wheel kick, Werdum has used these moves to pick apart the likes of Travis Browne, Roy Nelson, Cain Velasquez and Mark Hunt.

Last but not least Werdum breaks down the triangle armbar which he used to submit Fedor Emelianenko. A two in one submission move, the technique allows the benefit of attacking both the arm and neck leaving the victim with little to no options of escaping.
