In this fight from the Arrows Street Fight Fight Club a surfer decides to test himself against a trained MMA fighter in the sand.
Although there is no official regulation of amateur mixed martial arts in Russia, this fight does seem to take place under stand rules. There is a referee who controls the action the entire fight and Arrows claims each fighter is checked to be fit to fight by a medical panel. Each fighter is in proper protective gear including a cup, mouthpiece, and amateur MMA fight gloves.
The referee gets the fight started and the fighters meet in the center of the sand, and the two touch gloves. It’s immediately apparent that the surfer is not a technical striker and opens up with a punch that sort of looks like a slap. He then eats a big leg kick and decent right hand.
The MMA fighter attacks with legs and punches forcing the surfer to continually turn away. To his credit the surfer eats some good punches but seems un-phased. The fight works itself into a clinch and the trained fighter uses a head lock to throw his opponent who falls to the ground off balance.
It also fairly apparent that the street fight is not much more versed in ground fighting than he was in standup fighting. The trained fighter works on top eventually passing to full mount, landing some good strikes as the surfer turns over, takes his back and finishes with a strong rear naked choke. The surfer is forced to tap out.
