An MMA event in England turned into a violent, chaotic brawl this past weekend after a fan attacked one of the fighters in the ring.
The shocking scenes took place on Saturday night during an amateur MMA and boxing event at the Black-E Centre in the Chinatown area of Liverpool.
Video footage filmed by an audience member reveals the moment that sparked off the riot, as what appears to be a cornerman suddenly steps into the ring and begins punching one of the competitors.
Bedlam ensues immediately as more people at ringside start fighting and other audience members throw bottles and chairs into the ring.

Additional footage shot from the balcony then shows further brawls breaking out among audience members outside of the ring, with some thugs even lashing out with metal stands.
Even more disturbing is the sight of an unconscious man continuing to be beaten by multiple people, with what appears to be one of the events fighters, wearing shorts and hand wraps, launching a chair at him while he lays motionless on the ground, while another man kicks him in the head.
No arrests were made in the immediate aftermath of the altercation, but Merseyside Police have confirmed that they are currently investigating the matter.
Various reports indicated that at least 20 people were involved and that bottles had been thrown, a statement from the police reads. The incident began inside the venue but is believed to have spilled outside onto the street.
Police and ambulance attended and two men in their 30s were taken to hospital with non life-threatening head and facial injuries. The men are not currently assisting police with enquiries.
CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
