In this video from Russian Amateur MMA League ‘Arrows Street Fight’, we see something a little different as an alleged rugby player takes on 2 MMA fighters back to back.

According to the video description,

Rugby player mixed the beach with sand, where he usually plays in Rugby with a sand ring at Strelka, he was given two strong MMA fighters to the place of the football sword, let’s see how the events unfold.

Now back in the early days of MMA, fighting multiple times in a single day was pretty commonplace, particularly in tournaments. The first few UFCs had a similar format and this is still seen sometimes in lesser known MMA promotions.

MMA competition can obviously be very brutal though and there are few fights where a competitor emerges completely unscathed, even the winner.

While rugby can be hard on the body as well the goal is not to damage an opponent so it’s not really all that comparable.

The rugby player in this video is able to make very quick work of his first opponent here, literally knocking him out with the first punch he throws. It kind of makes you wonder just how experienced his ‘strong MMA fighter’ opponent is or even if the rugby player is really just a rugby player.

He has a little more trouble with his second opponent though who looks to be quite a bit bigger too. The rugby player is still able to get the job done in the second bout though, displaying some athleticism as well as some solid punching power that overwhelms his bigger opponent.
