Though the title of the video is ‘Alistair Overeem attacks reporter’ it seems that the opposite is true during this seminar in Ireland. The reporter first jokingly asks MMA fighter Overeem How quickly would you knock me over? and asks him if he wants to ‘test it.’ He should have taken the hint when Overeem replied You I would like to punch.

Overeem gives him a very light jab to the midsection and the reporter takes that as an invitation to clinch with Overeem and attempt to take him down. Much to the surprise of everyone at the seminar, including Overeem, he actually manages to briefly take him down. And if that wasn’t enough to piss off Overeem, it looks like they clashed heads on the way down too at about the fifty-five second mark.

While the exchange started out playful, Overeem seems to have gotten a little upset at this overzealous reporter. Upon getting back to his feet he lands a couple hard body shots and a couple punches to the reporter’s head. He then throws him down and hits him once more to the body for good measure before helping him back to his feet and embracing him as if he were one of his opponents in the Octagon.
