Perhaps the most influential martial artist of all time, the legendary Bruce Lee left a permanent mark in the world of martial arts and cinema despite his tragic passing in 197u3, at just the age of 32.

A generation later, UFC president Dana White went on to call him the “father of mixed martial arts” and although most MMA purists may scoff at this, his connections to the sport inside and outside the cage appear in places you may not expect.

In the following interview, Randy Couture‘s manager Sam Spira tells a story from his childhood, where he witnessed a sparring session between two legends, Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris. Spira reveals some interesting details about the duo.

“Chuck fought at about sixty [160lbs] whereas Bruce was about thirty, forty [135, 140] but shredded. These were two of the greatest martial artists I had ever seen, their control was off the charts”

So with that in consideration, who came out on top?

Check out the rest of the interview where Sam reveals the outcome of these sessions, which other Hollywood notables trained, and the burning question of how would Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris would fare inside the Octagon if they were in their physical primes today.
