Sport Science is a television series that explores the science and engineering underlying athletic endeavors.
In this episode they’ve decided to tackle and figure out which is more powerful: a big thing moving slowly or a little thing moving quickly.

Using the most up-to-date technology, they first measure two American Sumo wrestlers squaring off just as they would at the start of a match. The combined force between the two men colliding measures to an outstanding 1,000 pounds of force.
They then bring out the one and only Quinton Rampage Jackson. When asked about his punching power, Rampage immediately answered, Me? How I punch so hard? I put my ass in it cause I’m trying to knock you onto your ass. It’s all about ass, a lot of people don’t know that.

Now using a heavy bag equipped with special pressure sensors, Quinton is given his opportunity to produce as much force as he can. Throwing one massive right hand, his fist collides with the bag at 1,800 pounds of force. Rampage’s single punch alone almost doubles the force of the two sumo wrestlers from earlier.
In conclusion, Quinton Rampage Jackson might be the last person on earth that you’d ever want to be struck by.
