Michael Pohorly, the 2nd director on the set of ‘The A-Team’ bit off more than he could chew when he agreed to a ‘play’ fight with MMA star Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson during a break on the set of the 2010 movie.

Rampage had been cast in the iconic role of ‘B.A. Baracus’ for the Hollywood movie remake of the hit 80’s TV show, originally played by Mr. T.

Those were some big shoes to fill, but while he lacked acting experience, Rampage certainly had the physique, larger-than-life personality and real-life fighting credentials to play the part.

A former UFC light-heavyweight champion, Rampage has fought some of the biggest names in the sport over the years, both in the Octagon and in revered Japanese promotion PRIDE, including legendary wars with the likes of Wanderlei Silva, Chuck Liddell, Dan Henderson and Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua.

With that in mind, Pohorly, who has also worked on movies like ‘The Grey’ and ‘Assault On Precinct 13’, was at the 6ft 1, 250lb fighter’s mercy when they decided to have an impromptu play-fight on set.

Luckily for Pohorly, Rampage pulled his punches, although he did give him some air-time with a couple of effortless takedowns, landed a few light leg kicks and stopped just short of caving his face in with a knee strike.

Which one of y’all B-Team motherf***ers want some, Rampage asked afterwards as the crew started bidding a hasty retreat from the MMA star’s immediate vicinity.

These dumbasses, they don’t know – I ain’t trained in over four months, Rampage confessed. If any one of them is in shape, they might kick my ass right now.

Despite being ragdolled around the room like a small child, it seems Pohorly only had good things to say about the MMA star after the movie wrapped up.

Working [with] Rampage every day, who was always quick to joke and have fun, was a bright spot on the film, Pohorly noted.
