You’re probably reading this and wondering what exactly Paris Hilton has to do with MMA. And I can’t blame you really, because that is a legit concern.
I mean, on one hand we have a public figure and superstar whose main concern in life has probably come down to the cruel dilemma of picking which six-figure outfit to buy for her pet dog ; on the other hand, the beautiful, intricate, tough, brutal sport of Mixed Martial Arts.

Training with former UFC fighter, Gabe Ruediger, her first ‘kicks’ looked like an anemic sloth was trying to shake off an ant of its leg. Terrible form and she didn’t even seem to take it seriously!
But towards the end of the video, you can actually see a more concentrated Paris Hilton. She looks like she is really trying to put effort in her training, and seems to have fun, which should be the first thing to consider about engaging in any kind of martial arts.
You can poke fun at her all you want. I myself had a good chuckle watching this (because, again, look at her kicks). But one thing I’ll give her though is that she tried. Have a look in the video below:

Martial arts are for everyone, and is one of the very few activities you can engage in which does not discriminate based on sex, physical shape, or social background and is immensely rewarding for the mind and body.
Did she look a bit silly? Yep. Was her technique good? No. But, more importantly, did she try, at least? Yes.
So if any of you reading this are thinking about engaging in martial arts training but are not yet really sure if you’re capable of doing so, just keep in mind that Paris Hilton, of all people, is already a step ahead of you!
