This teenage backyard MMA fight saw a muay thai fighter going up against a wrestler, and it would lead to a competitive back-and-forth battle with a decisive finish.
In the early stages of the fight the muay thai proponent named Isaiah in the red shorts let his kicks fly, landing to the legs and body of his rival.
Closing the distance, the wrestler, Santiago then managed to land hard right and left hooks, though he was then caught with a left hook counter.
Undeterred, the two fighters continued to trade heavy leather at close range, with Santiago landing the better shots due to sheer grit and determination, though he did have to absorb another body kick.

At that stage Isaiah decided to back off a little and returned to his kicking game from range, but again Santiago brawled his way into the pocket and landed a right hook to the temple that connected with an audible crack.
Isaiah tried to shake that off and got back to landing a few kicks, but Santiago walked through them and only winced in pain when he hurt his own hand while landed another punch to the head.
So far the fight had been a purely stand-up affair, but as the two moved into clinch range Santiago suddenly saw his opportunity to utilize his wrestling skills as he narrowly avoided a head kick and then landed an emphatic takedown.
From there Santiago was really able to press home his advantage, and despite someone watching from the sidelines having earlier claimed that his speciality was ground and pound, he caught his opponent off-guard by smoothly transitioning to an armbar, which led to a submission finish.
That was a good ass fight, bro…my mouth hurts! Santiago declared as he sportingly shook hands with his opponent.

Isaiah was gracious in defeat too, later revealing on the YouTube comments for the video that, it was a friendly fight we didn’t have any MMA gloves so we fought with hand wraps and went all out. It was a lot of fun and he’s a great wrestler.
It’s good to see there was no animosity between them and they certainly put on a spirited scrap, but hopefully they won’t make this a regular occurrence as in their youthful exuberance they are risking injuries like broken hands, missing teeth and concussions fighting like this.
