In the following video, we see what happens when a high-level Muay Thai champion fights a professional wrestler and it doesn’t last very long at all.
The professional wrestler is named Steve Williams who is also known by his pro wrestling moniker of ‘Dr. Death.’ He wasn’t just a pro wrestler though by any means as he had a legitimate collegiate wrestling background before he got into the fake stuff.
Williams was an All-American in both football and wrestling so he was most certainly a legitimate and capable athlete. It’s important to point out though that when this MMA fight took place, Williams was 43-years-old and while Pro-wrestling is certainly choreographed, there is still a lot of wear and tear involved.

Despite having a legitimate wrestling background, his opponent proved to be a little too much for him here in this fight from 2003 under the K-1 promotion. Alexey Ignashov is a former Muay Thai world champion as well as multiple time K-1 kickboxing champion to boot.
This fight ends very quickly and quite brutally when Steve Williams rushes at his opponent and runs into a big knee strike. He eats a few more while desperately trying to get a takedown as well as a soccer kick before the fight is stopped just 22 seconds into the contest.
